Built by an operator, not an agency.
Bend Field Operations is a small, founder-led software company in Bend, Oregon. We build operations platforms for the kinds of companies we come from.
Our founder runs seasonal field operations himself. He owns and operates a summer camp company in Central Oregon, supervises on a professional ski patrol, and has worked as an EMT — which is to say he has personally hired the seasonal wave, chased the expiring certifications, scheduled around the no-shows, and taken the 2 a.m. phone call.
For years he ran those operations the way most field companies do: a scheduling app here, a spreadsheet there, credentials in a folder, dispatch by group text. Every tool was fine. None of them fit. And every one of them charged by the head, for a workforce that triples in season and scatters out of it — so half the team was never on the system at all.
So he built the system he actually needed: one platform where scheduling, dispatch, credentials, fleet, and communication live together, shaped around how a seasonal operation really runs, and priced so every employee can be on it all year. Other operators saw it and asked the obvious question. Bend Field Operations is the answer.
How we work
- Operator first. Every design decision gets tested against a simple question: does this survive a busy Saturday in season, used by a tired person with gloves on?
- You own it. The code, the data, and the accounts are in your name. We build on your infrastructure, not ours, so nothing about your operation is hostage to us.
- Flat and plain. One build fee, agreed up front, in phases with acceptance at each step. No per-seat rent, no surprise renewals, no pitch deck math.
- Small on purpose. We take on a few builds at a time and do them properly. When you call, you get the person who built your system.
Where we are
Bend, Oregon — high desert, river town, and home to more seasonal field operations per capita than just about anywhere. We work with companies across the West and beyond, and we travel to your operation to study it before a line of your platform is written.
